As a mother, you always look at your child's dreams with a special eye. But what my daughter Fabiënne has accomplished this past year with her own foundation exceeds all my expectations. Today, I'm happy to share her story and how my webshop supports her mission.
From an initial idea to national impact
It all started very small, at the kitchen table. Fabiënne heard about the concept of "Care Packages," which I discussed with my American colleague, and immediately decided she wanted to implement it in the Netherlands, but in her own unique way. She witnessed firsthand the impact of illness on a person in her own environment—not just the physical struggle, but also the emotional toll. She wanted to give these people a moment of strength and love.
What started with making bracelets to finance the first packages has quickly grown into a serious foundation with enormous ambition.
The goals for 2026: 1000 packages
2025 was a fantastic year, as we all strived to reach the goal of 600 parcels. Ultimately, we reached a remarkable 445. But for 2026, Fabiënne has raised the bar even higher. Her goal is to distribute a whopping 1,000 parcels this year.
To achieve this, she focuses on structural collaboration with hospitals: the goal is to donate 100 packages per year per hospital. This ensures a tangible gesture of support on a large scale for those who need it most.
How I support Fabiënne with my webshop
In my work and through my webshop, connection and caring for each other are central. It was therefore a natural step for me to fully support my daughter's mission.
That's why you'll find special items in my webshop, the proceeds of which go directly to the foundation. By purchasing these products, you contribute directly to the production and distribution of the Care Packages. Together, we're paving the way for Fabiënne to make those 1,000 packages a reality this year.
